FAQ
Q: How hard was it to develop such a product that inserts
wooden rulers into computer programs?
A: It was a difficult thing to be researched. Many years
have passed and many monitors were broken.
Q: How can I measure the sizes of the computer cards to
check if the computer plays fair?
A: You could use a very expensive digital camera worth more
than few thousands or our program.
Q: What button do I press for moving the Computer Ruler
around if I am left-handed?
A: Well: that depends. You can try all mouse buttons gently
dragging the mouse.
Q: How do I measure things up with the Computer Ruler?
A: Drag the ruler over the object to be measured and read
the numbers on the ruler.
Q: Wouldn't it be easier to just scan a wooden ruler and
measure with that?
A: No, and that's because the scales differ. Wooden rulers
have usually inches instead of pixels.
Q: Where can I upload the results of my measurements?
A: Send your numbers (length, pixels, etc) along with details
of the object to measure@ComputerRuler.com
Q: Will you disclose the results of the measurements to
other people visiting the site?
A: Yes, usually we do this unless you specifically state
in the email not to do this.
Q: May I measure realworld items with your computer ruler?
A: In a word: yes. All you have to do first is to scan, digitize
or somehow insert the object in your PC.
